In fact, its origins go back to a program called NFL Predictor from the mid 1980's. We've worked on these algorithms for years to give us the most accurate spreads for games. We compare the spreads the computer predicts versus the spreads from the traditional odds makers, finding the games that have the widest variations. The larger the variation, the higher rating we give a pick.
We make National Football League picks only. One thing we won't be giving you is picks during the first 4 weeks of the season. Why is that? Because we need to get some meaningful statistics from regular season games into the computer. Without meaningful statistics, picking games would be chance and luck.
